The CU Amiga was a British computer magazine that started as Commodore User (CU) specifically for Vic-20 and C64 computers. In 1986 they started covering the Commodore Amiga computer, but it took until 1990 for the CU Amiga magazine to be launched. It ran successfully until 1998, featuring coverdisks and cdroms with demos, games and applications.
They featured a long running Art Gallery section with lots of great artwork. First concentrating on individual artists, also including work-in-progress shots, and later growing into a full art gallery section.

They managed to strike a good balance later on, when 3D rendered art became popular, by still posting pixel images.
Colin has adopted a very traditional approach to this image. Originally sketched in outline, the colour was filled in and details worked onto the image. One advantage of computer art is how easy changing colours is.
